No-Needle No-Scalpel Vasectomy
A Minimally Invasive Technique with Improved Outcomes

A vasectomy will prevent the flow of sperm from the testicles by blocking the right and left vas deferens severing their path from reaching the ejaculate. It is a minor procedure performed under local anesthetic that will provide permanent sterilization. You should only consider a vasectomy when you and your partner are sure your family is complete.
No-Needle anesthetic is an effective method of pain control that uses a device (MadaJet) that injects an aerosolized local anesthetic into the skin, underlying tissue, and vas deferens without the need for a hypodermic needle.

A no-scalpel vasectomy (NSV) differs from a conventional vasectomy only in how the physician accesses the vas deferens tubes. In a “conventional” vasectomy, a scalpel is used and two moderate incisions are created above each vas which are later stitched closed with multiple stitches.
In a no-scalpel vasectomy (picture on right) there is one tiny opening created with a special instrument. Through this small opening the physician is able to locate both tubes to cut and block them. With such a small opening created by the NSV approach there may not be a need to apply any stitches; and if there is a need it could be closed with a single stitch or adhesive glue.
A NSV is equally effective and has been shown to have less complications, less procedural discomfort, and a quicker recovery period over a conventional vasectomy as there is less injury to the surrounding tissues.
